If you’re a jobseeker in this economy, you know better than anyone how many qualified people are vying for the same job. With so many talented candidates with similar skills, education, and experience, you need to show (not tell!) your next employer that you’re the perfect fit for the position. There’s no better way to show them that you’re the right person for the job than professional video resumes.
According to a Vault, Inc. survey, 58% of HR personnel said they would watch video resumes. If you were polled right now, what would you say? Now that video resumes are becoming even more mainstream and more jobseekers are using video resumes to differentiate themselves from other candidates, employers are benefiting from even more competition.
That’s a lot of “more,” but more is better when you consider that resume videos, by their very definition, give you infinitely more information about a candidate than a text resume. Video resumes also save you time and money because it’s easier and faster to eliminate the candidates that aren’t an ideal fit for your company.
